Drive systems
Ortlieb is offering with the ASCA servospindles a spindel technology which was originally developed by the Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR). Ortlieb has developed this technology to series production readiness.

The ASCA servospindle is the basis of the SERAC® electrical cylinder. Ortlieb is offering with these cylinders innovative solutions for the replacement of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders according to the slogan „electric power instead of oil“. SERAC® electrical cylinders are characterized by high force-density and durability. They prove themselves in a lot of applications under hardest operation conditions.
