SERAC® electric cylinders – electric linear actuators with the highest dynamics

For applications that have previously relied on hydraulic drives, it is the ultimate alternative: The Ortlieb servo spindle utilizes the principle of the planetary rolling ball screw (PWG) and therefore forms the basis of the SERAC® electric cylinders.

The Ortlieb servo spindle combines the functions of a planetary gearbox with those of a linear spindle.

By merging these two functions, the space and weight of a drive axis are significantly reduced – while simultaneously increasing power density.

The result: high efficiency, low weight, and maximum precision in the smallest space. This technology opens up completely new possibilities for mechanical engineering and automation, especially where energy efficiency, high power density, as well as dynamics and compact designs are critical.

SERAC® electric cylinder

The SERAC® electric cylinders are integrated servo linear actuators based on the Ortlieb servo spindle technology. One of their typical features is high dynamics - in many applications, they increasingly replace conventional hydraulic solutions.
