For applications that previously relied on hydraulic drives, it is the ultimate alternative: the Ortlieb servo spindle uses the principle of the planetary roller screw drive (PWG) and thus forms the basis of the SERAC® electric cylinders.

The Ortlieb servo spindle combines the functions of a planetary gear with those of a linear spindle.

The fusion of these two functions significantly reduces the installation space and weight of a drive axis – while simultaneously increasing power density.

The result: high efficiency, low weight, and maximum precision in the smallest of spaces. This technology opens up completely new possibilities for mechanical engineering and automation, especially where energy efficiency, high power density, dynamics, and compact designs are crucial.

SERAC® electric cylinder

The SERAC® electric cylinders are integrated servo linear actuators based on the Ortlieb servo spindle technology. They combine the advantages of the servo spindle with modern control technology and highly precise sensing. They are ideally suited for precise positioning and feed movements. One of their typical features is high dynamics - in many applications, they increasingly replace conventional hydraulic solutions.

Die ASCA® Servospindel kombiniert die Funktionen eines Planetengetriebes mit denen einer Linearspindel.

Durch die Verschmelzung dieser beiden Funktionen werden Bauraum und Gewicht einer Antriebsachse erheblich reduziert – bei gleichzeitig gesteigerter Leistungsdichte.

Das Ergebnis: hohe Effizienz, geringes Gewicht und maximale Präzision auf kleinstem Raum.
